Default longtube and h-pipe

I have longtubes with 3 inch collectors than directly to 3 inch dynomax bullet race mufflers. Should I put a equilizer pipe (h-pipe) between the 2 collectors. If I do how much power will it give me?thanks.....

The crossover is usually installed within 12" of the collectors.

It is there to smooth out the pulses and helps low end torque.

I'm going to try to work one in, but I have to wait until my c4 gets out of the shop. I don't want to do anything drastic until I measure twice and cut once. I'm sure a ton of other people have fabed these up at home but first try for me. I was going to just buy an x pipe and work off that, but I like to do things the hard way "all the time".
