Default What to do with lifters??

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to set my lifters. I have a 87 gt. I have heard that if they are hydrolic, you just tighten the down until they touch, but if not you actually have to set them. If anybody knows, can you please help me out. Thanks

If you car is a stock 87 with stock heads and valve train set up. To set the lifters you just install the pushrod, rockers and tighten the bolt that holds the rocker. There is no adjustment.

The spec is .020"-.060" of lifter pre-load (the amount the pushrod pushed the lifter plunger in while tightening down the pedistal bolts). If you need them, there are shims that go under the pedistal for adjustments.
