Default Need help finding year of engine

This is the number i got from behind the starter - from searching on the internet all I could find out is that it is 302 - in the 80's april 30th. I could be way off, not sure - any help would be great.. The person I bought it from thought it was a 351W - it is not.

e0ae d30 <------- Here is the number.

There is also a bar conecting the two heads together behind the eninge, looks to be some old emissions stuff. Can I just plug them at the engine block or should I keep the tube and just block the ends of the tube.
