Default Oil Leak

It appears that i have an oil leak in the vicinity of where the transmission meets the oil pan. When i step on the gas, smoke [oil] comes up through the center console where the stick shift is. The front of the oil pan, towards the front of the car is dry.

Does the rear seal needs to be replaced? Would a one piece oil pan gasket fix this?
