Default Carb spacer Q`s

I`m looking into getting a carb spacer for the Mach, and not sure what the differences are. Aluminum, wood fiber or plastic from the Summit catalog.I need one that will be as thin as possible yet keep the carb cool. Not sure if it matters but i`ve got a performer intake and 4v holley carb. Thanks for any info

If you want to insulate from heat, plastic or wood are your choices.

Heat is the problem. Are they about the same or is one better than the other?

Get plastic, it lasts longer.

Has anyone gotten one of those tapered 4 hole spacers? CSI is the only company that I have seen that makes them but are expensive. I was thinking of getting one but wanted to know if anybody has seen any improvement from one before I drop the cash.
