![]() I just bought a 351W roller crate engine from the states dynoed at 468HP, & 405 lbs/ft of torque. The company was supposed to send an oil pump with it, but they forgot so I bought one here. I bought a Clevite high volume unit. They e-mailed me saying not to use a high volume pump because it puts way too much strain on the cam & distributor gears. Does this ring a bell to anyone. Once I primed & installed it, I took the pump drive shaft & turned it with a 5/16" socket & speed handle & it barely takes any effort. I know with oil going through, it will be harder but is it that big of a difference? thanks
