Default AC belt when smog pump is missing

I'm rebuilding a San Jose built 66 289 engine. Had smog pump but someone removed it and I don't have the parts. Has AC but hasn't been run in a while, probably because of belt issue. Any suggestions of where to run AC belt? Hate to have to buy a smog pump just for the pulley to run the AC.
