I have an old 86 capri with a blown engine, (v6) and I have access to a 1977 f-??? with a rebuilt 460 and is still driveable for $500, what else would I have to purchase to make the 460 fit keeping in mind I will use the trucks tranny, how about suspension parts, any odds and ends to make to engine fit, and will a 8.8 rear hold up to a 460?
thanks

Hi Blocker,
A few of the things you will need;
Motor mounts,oil pan, headers, electric fan(s), modified drive shaft, stiffer front springs, modified hood(that carb is going to stick through),and possibly a different master cylinder. I am probably missing a few things, (its been ten+ years since i did my '79 )but i beleive you can buy conversion kits for the swap now. ( I had to custom make everything )
Hope this helps.
