Question Should I stroke it?

Hey guys.....I'm a little (alot )confused now, as far as my long term plan for my pony. First I was thinking turbo, then supercharger, then N2O. Now I'm wondering if I should stroke it first, then juice it or get blown. I'm looking for advice/input.....and I know you guys have plenty of it!

If you think I should, then which kit - 331, 347 or 351? Which manufacturer? How much rwhp/rwtq can I expect? Wil it strenghten my engine and increase longevity once I add the blower or squeeze? How much am I looking at for the kit, and for labor (approximately)?

Thank you. Sorry, I know.......it's very wordy, but I'm more confused than I orginally thought!

Cool

I would blow it first, then you can always stroke it later

Doing a stroker kit obviously involves a total rebuild of the motor, since its apart, gotta do this..Etc.. If the motor is tired, this is pretty good way to go, your car does not sound too tired though.

If your motor is real tight, stick to a blower, or NOS if you are mostly into better 1/4 times. I would prefer power avail all the time, the bottle does not last very long.

Cool

I was looking for more constant power under foot, then leaning towards juice later on...that's kind of why I was thinking of going w/ a stroker kit. Thanks Frank. Anyone else?

Ok, ask yourself a couple of questions.
How much cash do I have? How much experience does the shop have with regards to this type of work?If no one in your area has experince stay with something less complex like a stroker, from summit or other reputable dealer, the mechanic will still be able to tune it easily. On the other hand if you have a great shop in your area and someone who will tune.
My suggestion would be, this if I was going to go, with the options listed. By a Summit blown small block and have your shop install it. You will make great power, and you don't need a lot of help after it is set up. I would plan on spending grand on this atotest and tune and install and the actual cost of the motor delivered to the shop.
Your old power plant can be sold if running to off set the cost, I sold mine for $500.00.
Best of Luck.. Mac
