![]() I have a 302 with 351 heads and intake with a 650 holley and headers in the stang.
I am having a vapor loc problem and was wondering if I need to re-route the hose from the carb to the fuel pump or wrap it? I also need to know what size radiator I need due to the fact that the stock one is not enough, I am getting to hot for the track. Any help ??? thankx |

I had similar problems until I bought an electric pump and ran new fuel line underneath the passenger side of the car. ZERO problems since then. If that's not an option, you might try to get the fuel line in the fan's cooling path, as well as wrapping the line. >I also need to know what size radiator I need due to the fact that the stock one is not enough, I am getting to hot for the track. I picked up a 4 core from Mustangs Unlimited (800)243-7278 and it works great! ------------------ '66 Coupe - heavy mods http://www.acsol.net/~intruder/66coupe.html |

![]() If you go with an electric pump, get an inertia switch to shut the thing off in the case of sudden deceleration - usually associated with reforming the bumpers.

![]() You can replace the last few feet of gas line with hose. The metal line gets too hot. I was having the same problem & my dad told me when he was young, they would clip a clothepin on the hard line near the carb. He said it acts as a heatsink. Guess what? It worked. I couldn't believe it. Anyway, if it's not a constant problem, that's a cheap fix. Good luck.
