Post No 289 for a real '64 1/2 ??????

I am sure i read somewhere that a true '64 1/2 stang wasn't available w/ the 289.
Only V8 offered was the 260.
Is this true?? or no Hi-Po for '64 1/2???
I had a '66 and '65 but curious on that engine option.
Also what is the "bevel" on the hood that is only on a true '64 1/2?????
Thanks everybody...........
