Question New/Old 1966 Beauty- Where should I start? Any good chat rooms?

I got a 1966, v-8, 2 door coup, wimbleton white beauty on april 29 of this year. I jsut replaced the springs with 5 leaf ones, and got HEAT! I am having so much freakin' fun with this car!!! But what are some of the things I HAVE to keep up with on a weekly/daily/monthy basis? I am 16 and this is my FIRST CAR!!! I have pics of it (with me) on a disk, but I don't know the EASIEST way to post them. Please anyone who knows what they are talking about reply!

*thanks*

Glad to hear you like your first car, you know now you are spoiled and won't want anything else (until your first breakdown in middle of traffic) Even in stock trim they can be pretty peppy. If your car is in good working order you shouldn't HAVE to check anything daily. I would say check oil and coolant weekly. Check anything else that you are able to monthly and you should be fine. Do you plan on keeping the car stock or are you going to do a little modify'n. Hope you get you pics posted, you are going through "Users rides" and editing your profile, fact is I haven't posted mine yet either. Welcome to the site and the good advice here.

Check your tire pressure about once a month. Be sure to lube and change the oil and filter every 3000 miles. Check the timing and points about every 12,000 miles. If you have an automatic, check the fluid when you fill the car (should also check the oil level). Inspect radiator, heater hoses and fan belts while your checking the oil. Replace if they show any cracking. Keep wax on the body and a conditioner on the vinyl. Check the drains in the doors and at the trunk drop offs once in a while to make sure they are not blocked. Aren't old cars fun???
