Ok, I have a 72 and like a lot of cars from that vintage the shoulder strap belt has been removed and I would really like to replace it. Anyone know where these belts can be found? Anyone put in racing harnesses as an upgrade to the seatbelts?

No one reproduces these seat belts trust me I looked. Every once in a while a set will show up on e-bay though. If you dont have a roll cage threr is no good way to mount racing harneses

Well thanks for the disappointing news. I was afraid of that. I have a friend who says you can mound the upper harness to the back seat seat belt mounts if you don't mind giving up your rear seat for passangers. I am thinking of trying this.

The shoulder straps might be uncomfortable since ther have to come over the high backs on the seats. I am not tall and the top of my seat back is as high as my head when I sit in the seat. another option is to get belts from a junkyard. You would need one piece belts with a single retractor at the bottom and a stationary top mount. Look in late 70's to early 80's cars many of them had seat belts like this.

Yea I still have the lap belts but need the shoulder strap. I would of course rather have new, but looks like I may have to do some junk yard recon.
