LS1 owners and their dumb@sses

why are ls1 owners so confident? they run around saying "anyone wanna run for $100," and then never go through with it. maybe they want to look cute in front of their gold digging girlfriend... anyone know?

I would assume it's because a good few of them run like raped ape's.

There are very few low 13 street cars out there, some of the LS1's can do it.

I've seen stories of the LS1's taking Ferrari F355's top end

before. There is no way that happens unless the driver of that Ferrari is clueless. Anyway, bottom line is there just aren't too many other street cars that will usually give them a run for their money.

There still are a few though, and they are not unbeatable. I find the LS1 owners in general to be the cockiest drivers out there by far, just makes it more fun to see the expression of disbelief on their face when you beat them.

They usually act cocky if you are in a stock looking Mustang.

Add a set of big and little Welds, cowl hood, and a rumpity-rump idle and they don't act so aggressive.

But to their point, buy a new LS1, do the bolt-on route, add a set of slicks and a 150 shot and run way into the 11's all day. Until the 10-bolt scatters anyway.....

You cant say ALL Ls1 owners are like that, ive ran into some cocky LS1 owners as well as a my share of cocky cobra owners.... theirs people like that with all types of cars, the real LS1 enthuseist isnt like that, the LS1 is a hella fast car, then some rich punk gets one and thinks he's hot sh!t. I dont like the title of your post. Looks like something I would see on a camaro board. Anyways its because they trap over 106mph stock. And that would make me confident too.

Yea be considerate, there is some cool a** camaro owners on this board, and they do run like a striped a*s ape, but i dont know skyman 106 trap? well it wouldnt be to much of a problem i guess, especially a ramair.

But the most cocky car owners i ever met were corvette owners, even...i hate to say stang's, a guy in a zr1 talked like he was better than everyone with a 11.20 e.t, but when an 86 gt with welds all around and a blower making a killer kill anyone noise rolls bye at the cruise meet, he says he's not running anyone tonight.

well most cars on the street are your typical grocery getters or suv's. then you have the sports cars. how many of the sports cars run mid. to low 13's stock, for around $30k. not many

so they will win a majority of street races. look how much we have to mod. our cars to get those kind of trap speeds. so basically the ls1 can beat alot of street cars bone stock. maybe this adds to the cockiness? chevy can build a good motor, I can't say i care for much else on the car though.jmo.

Well my Opinon is there is cocky drivers in all car's, We just Think camaro owners are the worst because they are our direct Competetion, they always have been, if you was on the other side of the street in a WS-6 Trans am we would be saying "we do 5.0 people think theyre so great?" because thats the nature of life, your in a viper? you hate Z06 drivers, its just how it goes. i like some camaro guy's, just as a HATE Some mustang people i met. the car dont mean nothing its the person.

I agree dumb$hits drive all sorts of cars.. Ive seen/heard comments by fbod people that blow my mind.. Ive also ran into quite a few stuckup mustang guys.. luckily there are enough of us that just like cool cars
