![]() Iam not getting any fuel to the throttle body injectors on my 85 5.0 LX, and am trying to find the fuel pump relay.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, if the pump should be bad, could I install an after market pump externally without having to drain 15 gallons of fuel and dropping the tank to change the old one? ------------------ |

![]() I think it's in the passenger side kick panel. Your computer is also there. If not check under the drivers seat cause I know there is at least wiring under there.
As for the external pump. It's not going to happen. You would have to pull fuel through the other pump. If it was seized that would make it pretty hard to pull fuel. Good luck, others will add to it. |

No you have to pull the tank to change the pump or take the one out if it is bad to use an external pump and you will need a different pickup tube. you can use an external pump to boost the fuel flow if the pump in the tank is good. ------------------ James Cox nochevy@hotmail.com 1991 Mustang LX 12.565 @109.38mph 1.764 60ft |

![]() Thanks, Jim!
Guess what happened? I have the whole interior out for reupholstering, and I wondered what the heck that thing under the seat was! I thought I was the seat belt warning thingy! Guess I'll plug it in, now! Dave |
