16" Wheels 0n 67-68 - Tire Sizes?

I have just purchased a set of 16x8 Chrome Torque Thrust D's. I have seen a couple of tire size charts stating the widest useable tire size being 245-255 on the 67-68 Mustang. Is anyone running the 16's with these tire sizes? How have you found them to work? Did you roll the fenders? I would like to go 255 all around, but one chart says 245 max in front. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thats sounds about right. I've never tried any bigger, but 245 in front I think is as big as u can go. Plus, any bigger and it gets hard to turn the tires.

Decided to go 245 all the way around. Hopefully this will work, and this way rotation will be better. Got an awesome deal at T.R. on a set of Firestone Firehawks 245/50/16 ($116 ea. on Special) Nobody else was even close. Happy Holidays to all.
