![]() I am new to fairly new to mustangs. I am currently looking at a 1964 1/2 Mustang convertible and was wondering if it is worth the $9250 the owner is asking for it. VIN # 5f08f143335. It has a 289 V8 instead of the original 260 V/8. It runs. Body is in decent condition but does have som surface rust on the front of the hood, front bumper, and has a small crease in the top of the passenger side fender. It is an automatic. Top is in good condition. No Rust in the trunk area. Frame appears to be in good conditon. Interior is in decent condtion, needs a dash pad.

![]() Sounds low to me, even with the non-number matching engine. If you think you can get it up to "snuff" for another $10,000 the way that YOU (emphasize you) want it, then I'd say "go for it". But look closely for rust, especially in the floor pans and cowl area.
