Default 1965 Mustang wiring issue

The front headlight switch is grounding and blowing a fuse after the switch is installed. The light works until the switch is installed. It's been rewired with aftermarket Mustant re-wiring. I have worked hours and hours on this, retracing everything, and I just can't get it. Any suggestions? Thanks!

It's the dashmount light switch. There is plastic under the floor switch. I think we got it fixed by running a new lead and separating the front lights and break lights. Thanks for your response.

Had the same problem with my 68 years ago. At the time I was trying run the newer Halogen bulbs. Couldn't figure it out so I went back to the old original type bulbs and haven't had a problem since. I know there's some modifications you can make to run the newer bulbs but I just took the easy way since I rarely drive her at night. Not sure if that's your problem or not.
