![]() My 66 Mustang with a 289 was running hot this summer. I decided to replace the fan, 2-row radiator, and add a fan shroud. 3-row radiator and fan installed just fine.
My problem is getting the shroud mounted to the radiator. Unless I'm missing something, it 'should' just line up to the holes with the provided hw and bolt right up? I got the shroud mounting hw as well as the radiator mounting hw. Thermostat is new, replaced this spring. Any ideas/thoughts/suggestions? thanks, ty Also, is this shroud going to help as much as everyone makes out? Most people tell me that it makes a 'huge' difference in cooling the motor. |

![]() The way I remember it, each piece of the shroud mounting hardware has to be used in a specific place to line the shroud up correctly. I think it took me a few trials and errors to get each of those off set pieces in the right quadrant to finally get the shroud in correctly. Mine was for a 4 row. I use 2 electric fans now, and it's been a while since installed that shroud so memory is a little hazy.
