Question 1966 Mustang - Housing Instrument Cluster

On the Housing Instrument Cluster of the dash, on the "edge of each bezel" for the speedometer & each of 4 gauges is "RED" paint. I distinctly remember seeing this back in 1966 on a new Mustang that my friend had. However, I have "not" seen it currently on any other car except mine. Can anyone verify that this was actually an option that was on a 1966 Mustang with a black interior? Or has anyone else seen this?

Cool

I haven't heard of that myself (I am by no means an expert, though) but maybe it was a dealer trim option. I'm sure someone here knows for sure. BTW are you talking just the top edge of each bezel?

It sounds like something a previous owner did. I've never seen or heard of anything like that. I think in '66 they only made the black "camera case" w/chrome and the woodgrain and chrome.
