1969 mach 1

This post is for my father in law. He has recently purchased a 69 mach 1. We are restoring this car to some resemlence of its former glory. What I am looking for is some good doors for a fair price. Also this car has a factory hood tach (and it works). Does anyone know if this is a rare option? We are in the market for many other parts so if anyone has anything they wish to part with please tell.

try getting online and checking boneyards for doors for your pops-in-law's car. Try calling around to local ones as well. Those doors aren't in abundance so it will take some searching. I personally don't know about the tach on the hood. And again, there is several junkyards that advertise on the net for cheap wrecker parts. Also check out EBAY for bits and pieces for sale. Who knows, you might find another mach-1 donor car for really cheap. The best thing to do is do some searching and calling and you'll find em.

I was bored so I did a little searching around for ya.

I found a couple things.

I found stuff on this website for the 69. They were selling just the outer door skin for around $125. Thats without S&H and is only the skin.

Is the car completely lacking the doors or are they present but just bad shape. If they are there and depending on the shape of them you might be able to use just the skin.

This place had the same door skins for about $115 without S&H.

Another one... This one claims to have the plain door shells for the 69 mach 1 but you have to call to get a price quote.

Hope this helps ya out a little. This was just about 20 minutes of searching...

Power is right on the money there are quite a few websites that might help as well as Oklahoma Mustang parts and other local salvage yards.
As far as that Tach goes, yes this is a rare option and if you wanted to purchase one of these used it would go for at least $300 and there are not any new available.

I located a person with a 70's mach-1 passenger door for sale as well as some other parts. I'm not sure a 70's door will fit a 69, but if it will and your interested let me know and I'll give you the email address in your private box.

Hey good luck with the 69. I have been working on my car since 96. I will never be done with i don't think. Anyway what kind of motor dose it have. I have lots of original 428 parts sitting in my garage. A set of heads, and intake, exhaust mainfolds, couple of other things too. Need any help let me now. Find any good parts let me know i am looking for a fiberglass hood. With a hole for the Shaker cut out.

Thanks everyone for looking for me and the advice. Door skins won't work, I wish they would. The engine is a 351 Windsor. It had a engine swap before my father in law bought it.
