Unhappy Power steering gear Rebuildable

I got a power steering gear leak at the passenger side. A friend of mine told me that instead of changing for a new power steering gear system, that it could be fixed. Just about the leak is probably coming from a bad seal and that i can get a new one from Ford's. So i've called my dealer and he told me that i was wrong. That this not available. Who's telling the truth.
