If you buy the axles new don't forget to get new studs for the axles, you'll need longer studs anyways to run slicks legally at Moroso. The other thing you'll need is a new differential for the rear. I just went with a factory Ford 31 spline Trac Lock from a Lightning.

thanks, i just remember reading how you busted yours at the track , and i was afraid of this happening with me running the slicks ,while leaving the whole shot with a 150 shot of nitrous...i dont wanna grip that bad...ok so its the 31 spline the longer studs and a 31 trac lock for 8.8.......thats it correct.. or do i need to get a whole new diff.

The 31 trac lock for 8.8 is a new differential.

Honestly you maybe okay running on slicks a few times without any problems. My differential went after 450+ passes at the track and about 150 of them on slicks with 6K RPM launches so it definitely held up to some serious abuse.
