![]() hey guys. A friend and I are restoring his 1970 fastback. We need alot of parts, specifically doors, interior, alot of things. Anywho, does anyone know where I can get parts? fiberglass is ok, but the doors can't hold real window glass (so i'm told). any help is appreciated.

![]() Well first let me congratulate you on a great car to restore and also give my sympathy. As a 69-70 owner we do not have the huge aftermarket that some of the 65-68 owners enjoy.
Second is where are you located? The reason is there are several good parts suppliers that offer good repro parts (National Parts Depot, Virginia Mustang, etc..) Swap meets and ebay are options to getting the parts that are not reproduced. Do your homework on these because you don't always get a good deal. There is also a 69-70 website that has some good classifieds. Personally I would look for some good used doors, and make sure you keep the glass and brackets, these are going for at least $200 a side. ![]()

![]() I am located in NY. The car sat for about 10 yearts as a shell, and while we have alot of the parts, most5 of them are so far gone it is easier and cheaper to buy either new or used in better shape. I mean, we have spent the last 3 weeks sanding the shell. the rust is so bad. but, we are getting rid of all of it bit by bit, and in the end, it will be worth all of the hard work. So, you started to list places mto get parts, i am familiar with NPD, but have never used them. Are they any good? What about that Virginia Mustang? I am basically extending my hands in every direction looking for parts. I found "Classic Mustangs of Oklahoma", and ordered their catalog, but their website was not very specific on alot of 70 parts. they had tons of everything else. anyweho, let me know where else to look. thanks.

![]() I used the Oklahoma place for a repro.door handle and it didn't even fit my door. And they are pricy. I like NPD. That's just my opinion. There are several part warehouses out there. Research will pay off.

![]() The swap meets will probably have to wait till we get through spring up in your area. As far as NPD they are one of my favorite suppliers, Virginia is good as well, purchased my weatherstriping from them and at a good price.
Used part vendors like Classic in Oklahoma have alot of parts but like David said kind of pricey. Perogie is very similar (www.perogie.com) but at least they are in New Jersey. Try this website as well www.69mustang.com Don't forget about ebay they can be very helpful, I have purchased many parts that I had a hard time finding any other way.
