Default 1970 Transmissions

I would loke to know the differences between the C6, C4 and the FMX transmissions of a 1970 Mustang FB Mach1. Which one is better, which is second and which would fall into third place. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

Here you go

C6 Heavy Duty
FMX Medium Duty
C4 Light Duty

The best one really depends on your application. Hp, torque, weight, type of use etc.

Hope this helps.

well, I wouldnt use an FMX, heavy.. center section is cast iron, I think the C6 does not have a bolt on bellhousing..and the C4 came with most small blocks...

My .02. Go with a C4 and have a trany shop build it to handle what ever you want to put it behind. It is physically smaller and lighter than the others and headers (if you plan on using them) will fit around a C4 easier.
