2005 model
Hello Dudes:
I pretty new to Mustangs, but totally fell in love with the 2005 model. I really love to get one. I 'm a little afraid of it turning out to be something that breaks down all the time - from what I've heard about Fords. Do you think I should take the chance and buy one? Please help. Mustaang girl |
Re: 2005 model

Re: 2005 model
alright bud - what year do you have?

Re: 2005 model
I am not sure what you have heard about fords, but I highly doubt it is anything different then what I have heard (or said) about Chevy's in my lifetime.
Ford has made many quality mustangs over the years. This website is a testament to that. Ryan |
Re: 2005 model
I've decided on a V-8 in the next few weeks. Can't wait!!

Re: 2005 model
A good choice. An acquaintance who happens to be an expert on cars and is regularly asked by the media and by manufacturers to review autos recently stated that the '05 Mustang is the best product that Ford has produced in years - mechanically and aesthetically. I think that you will be pleased. E.

Re: 2005 model
I have a 65 coupe, a 97 GT Vert, an 02 V6 Coupe and an 03 GT Coupe. I have also had 2 Hondas, the world's most perfect car, if you read Car and Driver or any other magazine. I won't buy another Honda, but I can assure you there will be more Mustangs in my future.

Re: 2005 model
ive gotta 66, my kids travel in a explorer. if i was silly enough to take on more debt, it would be the 05', charged from the factory, chipped etc. everything on the dealer invoice. ( for later resale). i just didnt like the 38 k for all i wanted.
as for fords being an inferior product... hogwash |
Re: 2005 model
I saw some for 30K for a nice package - thats the one I'm considering as long as it has a V-8 I 'm happy.

Re: 2005 model
for another 8k, it was charged and chipped and stated on the factory invoice. i believe those options were fer gt only. 10 years from now in good condition i'll bet it would fetch a price. 30 years from now, hhmmmmm.

Re: 2005 model
Get it while you can, 05 GT's are getting scarce and hard to find!! Most dealers are out of them and 05 production has ended.

Re: 2005 model
We bought our V6 red w/ Blk. Int. tinted windows, 5 speed, for $21,500.00 in Jan 05. NO problems with it 14,000 miles later. It's a fun car.. get's lots of looks too. You deff. don't want a 5 speed if you sit in traffic alot, the car goes far after the clutch s let out all the way, "lots of Muscle in the drive train"

Re: 2005 model
I have a Red 2005 V6 Mustang Coupe. It's a fabulous car! I haven't had any problems, and I always get lots of looks. My first car was a 1982 Mustang, 4 cylinder. I fell in love with mustangs then. My husband & I also have a 1967 V8 Automatic. I won't drive anything else! You will love your mustang. Happy Driving!

Re: 2005 model
Ford got it right this year on the Mustang... great to see there is so much of a backlog that they've stopped selling 2005 models and told dealers about a month ago to start selling the 2006 models.
It's proof that American manufacturers can compete if they do it right, which they haven't done in a number of years. |
Re: 2005 model
Hey Mustaang girly, I saw on another post you got your black 05, post up some pictures so we can see it!! :)

Re: 2005 model
I would love to show you some pictures, but everytime I try to up load them - they don't seem to fit. My pictures are a little to big. I have to say though I 'm really enjoying my new car. I've never gotten so many compliments and looks with anything like this one. Where I live stangs are pretty rare, everyone in Boston drives a SUV.

Re: 2005 model
I take all of mine on low resolution because I do the newsletter for our club, it makes a file less than 100 K and that way I can load the newsletter with pics. If someone sends me a large picture I can edit it down and make a smaller file size. Email me some at haroldbob@cox.net and I will see if I can edit them down andyou can post them.
