289 to 351W swap in '65

I own a '65 Mustang convertible. I purchased a 351W to replace my 289.
I'm having some problems with the installation and I was wondering if
anyone direct me to the right people to ask or if anyone would know. I'm
having problems with the harmonic balancer, the pulleys, and the front
cover. I'm using the front cover off of my 289 because I had to purchase
a different oil pan that would fit over the frame support that runs
underneath the engine. My front cover has the dipstick for the oil in it
where the original front cover that came on the engine did not. I'm also
trying to keep the original belt setup as opposed to the serpentine belt
setup that came with the 351. The harmonic balancer isn't lining up
right with the alternator pulley and I can't tighten the balancer in all
the way to the crank because it starts to hit the front cover. What
should I do? Do you know anyone that has installed a 351W into a 65
Mustang? Any help would be great! Thanks.

Hey Len,
Since you haven't got any quick responses here, also post this at theMustangs and More board. The classic mustang moderator there knows alot about small block fords. If you get the answers please post them here. A 351 might be in my future.

I've seen several very detailed and comprehensive web sites on this very subject. I'll see if I can find their addresses and post them here later, maybe today, this weekend for sure.
