302 to 351w swap
I have a 1980 mustang, I blew up the 302 in it and I found a really nice 351W for it. I know its 3 inches taller and 2 inches wider than a 302, so I was wondering if I would have to change anything? Also i was wondering if anyone knows what cars used the dual sump 351W oil pan? and will the headers work from my 302?

You can use everything from your 5.0 except the Headers, Lower intake, flywheel, and Harmonic balancer. At least that is what I have read.

Ya, someone else had said i might have to change the headers. Does anyone know why I would have to change the headers? I had 351W heads on my 302, so I don't really get why I'd have to change then?

You have to change the headers because the header tubes are routed different for the 302 and 351's.
Yes, the headers will fit on the 351 but they won't clear the steering shaft when you put the engine in the car. Trust me on this.............been there done that. Also, don't let the guy/kid behind the parts counter tell you that the 302 headers will fit.................they won't
