351 Windsor engine buildup
I going to rebuild my stock 1969 351 windsor, and I was wondering what combination of parts would give me the biggest performance boost on a budget of $1500.

1500 is a good chunk for building a good engine. I'll assume you've got a 4v engine so the 69 heads are pretty good ones. I'd port and polish those, get me a good aftermarket intake and carb, a set of headers and put in a hotter cam. That should really bring your pony alive.

I agree with hehe. I run 70 D0OE heads race ported to high 9s in an 86 coupe. Those heads rock.
