I'm expecting you'll want 35-38 total all in by 3000 rpm. That's really just a guess though. Try that and see if you get any pinging or knock and good performance. If you do get pinging or knock, retard it a little until it doesn't do it and then maybe a little less.
When I ran 351W heads on my 306, I ran a whopping 45 degrees total because that's how it ran best with those relatively inefficient heads. With my more efficient TFTW heads, I run 38 toatal and 15 initial advance. I determined that at the drag strip. I advanced until I didn't get anymore performance improvement and with out detonation and then set it there.
