![]() It seems the 351W swap is pretty common these days, but I don't see too many set up with all emissions equipment for street use. I need to have a setup that can pass emissions, but I would like the extra displacement of the 351 or a even a stroker.
While I am still considering the modular Cobra swap, I would like to find out as much as possible about the 351W swap in an EFI/smog configuration. If any of you have documented a swap like this or seen web site with this documented, I would love to see it. Do you guys think I can pass the emissions test with a healthy but not extreme 351W stroker? I was thinking TFS TW heads and TFS intake, or possibly the FRPP 392 stroker short block or long block. The car is an 89' LX 2.3 auto, and I do want to convert to manual transmission. I would prefer a T-56 6-speed but would consider a Tremec 5-speed. A T-5 is out of the question. That was a lot of stuff, but the main question is: Can it be set up to pass emissions? Thanks again, guys! T. |
