390 Radiator

I put the flex fan blade through the radiator of my S-code 390. After finding out the radiator in the car was for a 289 I decided to order a correct 390. When I put the new radiator in it didn't fit. Did the 67 390 come with a special radiator or is my support bracket wrong? The radiator opening is 24 inches, I can't squeeze the 26 inches (with outer bracket) into the space needed. Hope someone can help. Would a 4 row fit?

When I changed my radiator from a 302 to a 351C radiator it had a different mount so I'm sure that yours will too.. I tried to get by with that 302 mount till I had a small boo boo and the brand fan went right through the brand new radiater... well that's what you get for using the wrong parts huh..

If you got a radiator for a 390 passenger car then it's too tall. There is a specific big block radiator for mustangs. Try Pops Mustang, I think it's in Maine.
