4 wheel discs conversions for the '67

I have asked this before for some general info. Well we are looking more seriosly at moving to 4 wheel disc's. With out using parts from older...well newer cars (Doners)....what kits have yall used that have worked pretty good and have been some what cost effective. Any input would be great. We are kinda figureing on spending about a grand on the converions.....so let er rip! Thanks again!

Not sure I quite understand the question as it pertains to donors? I got a front kit for my '66 from Jim's Mustang in El Cajon California (Granada conversion kit). It contained new MC, hoses, new rotors, rebuilt calipers, pads, rebushed spindles, and some new hard lines (short conversion pieces that I had to bend).

All this new front stuff worked well, but I had to fabricate a rearward brake stop for my brake pedal. You won't like it if the brake actuating rod falls out on the floor if you pull backwards on the brake pedal.

Total cost was $600 for all nerw parts (rebuilt calipers, used spindles) for the front. Doubt you'll find new 4 wheel disks for $1000.

I installed a Stainless Steel Brakes rear disc conversion kit on my 68 FB. Real easy job and quite a difference in the braking. I think it was around $700.

Baer Claws are nice. I have been very happy with them. Their kits are complete, they were very easy to install and Baer has good tech. support. They have worked very well for me at the open track events. Other options: Cobra Automotive makes a setup, as well as Global West.
