Default 6 to 8cyl pedal assmbly

hello-

I am about to convert my 66 over to A 8cyl(since the 6 decided to freeze) my question is do I need to change the pedal assmbly. right now it is A 6cyl manual. and I am changing to an 8cyl auto. so new pedals. or can I just take off the clutch pedal.

thanks

hello again.

my friend is also converting his 66 six to A V8. but he is going to keep it A manual. and he would like to know if he needs to change the peddal assembly. and if he can use his 6cyl 3 speed shifter(the handle thingy not the trans) on the V8 4 speed.

thanks again.

you dont need a new clutch pedal, but I doubt the shifter handle will work.. need a whole new shifter..
