65 mustang
have a question can anyone help bought a 65 mustang and it had a transmission already in it but dont know how to tell which one i have? also can't find my vin# all i can find is a warranty#7r01c211902
body 65a color y trim 2a date 19e dso 61 trans o can anyone please help me figure out this problem thank you. |

Hate to break it to you, but you have a 67 according the the warranty number (same as the VIN). That plate should be above the latch on the driver's door and also there will be a plate with just the VIN under the hood between the shock tower and the windshield. Where did you find this, inside the door?
If that is your VIN, you have a 67 coupe, built in San Jose with at 289 2V engine. Color is Dark Moss Green, with black interior. The car was built on May 19, 1967. The car was delivered to Dallas originally, but who knows where it was sold from. For the trans, the codes were 1 (3 speed manual), 5 (four speed manual), or W (C4 automatic).
