How bad are the keys lost? Are they lost like dropped in the lake or lost like you just can't find them and they may turn up later? If they are lost lost, I'm afraid you may need a locksmith to help. If they may turn up later and the car is not a daily driver, I would wait it out a few days and see where they turn up. Hint: The last place you look is where you always find things, so look there first!

Have you tried the paper clip in the hole and a screwdriver or something to turn the lock? It could work, worth a try. I have never tried to remove an ignition lock without the key before. I can't even remember how the bezel comes out. If you could get the ignition switch/bezel out of the car you could replace the whole thing. I had to the last time I changed one, the switch was bad and I was replacing the keys in the ignition and the doors so they matched. Good luck!

I would just drill it out and destroy it being careful not to bung up anything else. Once you have it desroyed, you should be able to remove it and then just replace it. Be sure to do all that with the battery disconnected, LOL. I've never done this before, always having had the key to remove the switch. That's how I would approach the problem though.

there are grooves around the ignition ring - take a screwdriver and put it int he groove and hit it counterclockwise so it will unscrew

Only Method I Know Is To Use A Slide Hammer With A Screw Tip. Screw The Tip Into The Key Slot And Hit Very Crisply. Should Pop The Ignition Cylinder Free With Minimal Damage. Have Used This Method For Fifteen Years, When Necessary, And Have Not Damaged The Bezel, Yet.

Personally if you have not destroyed it yet, i have done the very same thing. A good "Real" Lock smith can make a key for it. i have had it done serveral times will cost a litle but is cheeper then a new lock and igintion.
