It sounds like it's a nine inch disc brake rear from a 74-78 Monarch/Granada/Versailles.

It was standard in the Versailles, but was kinda rare to find one in a Monarch or Granada. It's a heavy son of a gun, wouldn't want all that in my car, although my dad put one in his 67. It bolts up pretty easy in a 67-70 car, but it would be a little wide in a 65/66 car. ------------------ 66 GT Fastback, fuel injected 5.0, 5-speed, cable clutch, JBA's and duals, 3.40 gears and handling mods...just call me "Doc" |

Are you sure everything comes out the back of the housing??? That isn't a 9". A 9" has a "chunk" that comes out as one unit from the front of the rear housing. Sounds like you have an integral rear with disc brakes.

whoops, good catch gearhead....I missed that part about the gears coming out the back...not a Nine inch for sure. Sounds more like some kind of 8.8 setup from a T-bird or something.
