I've got 275/40 17 Nitto Extremes mounted on 17x9 Cobra Rs on my Cobra, and I think they're perfect. It looks tough, handles like a slot car, and still rides good. I bought all of it at Steeda. That's what they recommended. I went with that setup (and their suspension package, of course) and I am very pleased. You can go much bigger out back if you want to, but unless you're making over 400 HP, you won't need it.

I agree. You can go up as high as 275/40 R 17s up front without rubbing, and quite a bit bigger in the back (3XX) but there is no reason too.

Thanks, I have still not made a decision on tire size. I am having trouble finding wheels for the rear that are wide enough for the 315x35's that I would like to have. Thanks again for your help!

Check out Steeda (www.steeda.com, altra-lights I think they're called) and saleen (www.saleen.com) I think the both make 18 inch wheels that will take those monsters of the rear. (315/35ZR18s)
You most be having some serious "driver's education." Can I come? |

In one of the Muscle Mustang and Faster Ford magazines there was a Cobra in there with 20 inche rims on it,no joke! and they fit with no mods, I think that they were American Racing rims. Good Luck!
