The I6 is a tough motor to find accurate literature on. The Mustang Mags hardly ever get anything right when they talk about them.

You will have to have machine work done for you, but you could assemble the motor yourself rather easily if you have a mechanical background, and save yourself some money.

As far as parts go, most stuff you will need can be purcahsed at your local autoparts store (bearings, gaskets, etc..)

If you want to pep it up a little, then you may have to get more creative. 2.3L HSC flat-top pistons are a direct replacement. A Comp 260 of Clifford 264H cams are a great add-on for an everyday performer.

For cost, realistically figure around $2000 for a good, complete rebuild.
