Default carb id

hello-


I have A carb that I would like to rebuild but I dont know what kit to get for it. it came off of A 64 260(none mustang) it does say autolite and is A 2 barrel carb. but for some reason I can't find any numbers. does any one know where the numbers are suppose to be at.

On mine, there was a metal tag screwed on one of the top screws. I guessing your is gone, so I'm not sure where else to look, sorry.

wild idea, but does your air horns have any numbers stamped on them? (just throwing out ideas)

I'm not shure what you mean air horns.


yea there was no tage on one of the bolts.

do you guys think preaty much any ford 2 bbrl rebuild kit would work.

The rebuild kits should be the same, just go in and tell them u have a autolight 2bbl carb on a 64 mustang, or whatever. Some shops can only go back to '67, that should work too.
