67 68 Console Radio Bracket
I am installing an original 67 AM Radio in my Fastback and I have the console and the radio bracket for the console. Problem is, I can't seem to figure out how the bracket mounts to the car/dash area. Is there more than the one bracket? I have looked in my 67 Mustang shop manual hoping for a technical drawing and also a couple of restoration books, but I can't seem to find a picture showing how the bracket attaches to the car. HELP!!

One end of the bracket attaches to the back center of the radio and the other end attaches to the center bottom of the dash panel. There's a diagram I believe in the interior assembly manual. Remember looking because my bracket was gone and nobody sells an original or repro, so I made one myself.

Should have paid better attention to your post. You said you have a console - I don't. My radion mounts in the center dash, so your bracket may be different. Can't remember where the radio is mounted on cars with consoles.

Console Bracket
Turns out I was thinking way too much on this one. There is a channel about 1 inch wide on the inside of the dash that the bracket lays down in. It doesn't "fasten" per say, it just sits in that channel and is held in place by the console and the weight of the radio.
