'67 heater valve help needed
Hi everyone, I am having difficulty in finding the correct Ford replacement (or any brand)of my heater valve. This is the part that attaches to my firewall, has a vaccum nipple on it and I believe both water ports lead to my heater core (can't remember...how do I hook this up again? - it's been 4 years!). Well the replacement ones available at both Pep Boys and Autozone were identical, but were not correct, due to their plastic design versus metal and it was a universal fit item....no provisions for attaching it to the OEM bracket. Went to Ford and they gave me part # C7ZZ-18495-A, not even close to what the original looks like...they claim this is replacement part #. My original unit bears the part # of C7ZA-18C310-A. Is this part still available? If anyone can help me out, it will be much appreciated...I need to get this thing on the road ASAP! Please e-mail me at FFASTSVO@aol.com....I don't really check the board that often. Thanks.
