'67 mustang re-moding

I'm in the middle of getting a '67 mustang with a 302 in it.
Honestly I dont know much about cars,a little but not alot, i would like to learn.I have been reading some of the mustang magazines etc..
And i've learned a little from my dad.
from what he told me I'm thinking that i want to get a boss 302 in it.
IS THIS POSSIBLE?
(THE '67 THAT I AM ABOUT TO GET ORIGINALLY CAME WITH A 289)...
what i'm planning to do when i'm done is get racing suspension, take out the back seats, role cage etc.
does anybody have any ideas on what i should do..
please help
thank you

Bolts right up in the same space. Same motor mounts. A bit more HP. Quite a bit more money....

I'm with Ron1 about the expense factor. Boss 302's are collector items now. Too much money unless you're building a concourse show car. Get a stroked custom built small block and make it specific for your application (street, strip, or combo), or just get a crare engine from Ford. If it was me to do over again, I'd get a crate 392 CI for about 430 streetable HP and just bolt it right in. Might have to have specific headers to get the 351 W block into an early Mustang, but they do fit.
