I vote for the BOSS 302. It Being the purpose built Z-killer. This Mustang is the road racing King and is what Mustangs are all about

68's we're MACH's. Actually I prefer the 65-68's (particularly the fastbacks). The BOSS Mustangs were especially cool, but I like the first production body style. The Shelbys of those years were no slouches either.

'68 Mach I???? Huh? The Mach I began life in '69. Am I missing something here?

I think the Boss 302 is the coolest. The car handles great and runs well. '70 Boss 302 had the shaker which was especially cool.

'69/'70 Mach I body style is my favorite. Sharks gill front end looks killer on '70 while the side scoops look great on '69. It would have been neat if they would have left the side scoops on the '70 also having the sharks gill front end.

'71 Boss 351 was also way cool. Supposedly the fastest 1/4 mile production car Ford built.

'71 Mach I w/429 was also killer.

I'm not too big a fan of the 64 1/2 - 66 body style unless they are fastback or 67'-'68 Body style unless it's a Shelby.

Since we are voting, I vote for a 69 Mach 1 with the 428 and drag pack. Handeling and brute power wraped in the very cool 69 exterior. Second choice would be the 70 Boss 302. The Trans Am winner, with shaker hood of course.

Yes, the Mach I began production in ´69. Sorry for the mistake and thanks for your opinions.

PD: I prefer the Boss 302 :-)

I agree the Boss either 429 or 302. The Mach's are nice but have never liked the non functional hood scoop but a Mach I 428CJ with a shaker would be nice.

The 69 Boss 429 was considered the biggest, baddest, and meanest of all Mustangs! There were 1,628 69 Boss 302s produced. "In 1970 Ford produced only 499 Bos 429s, creating by the end of that year a car so unique and so rare as to achieve legendary status almost instantly". Grabber Blue was a popular color for 1970.

The Boss 302 was the best. Second, has to be the 68 1/2 428 CJ. This was the car "before" the shaker hood. It showed the drag racing people how it is done.
