Default 68 Mustang stuck in neutral

Hi Folks,
I have a 68 Mustang FB with a 302 with a factory four speed. My problem is the transmission is stuck in neutral. This has happened several times in the last few years and only occurs when the weather is extremely cold. In the past I‘d let the car warm up and eventually it would shift fine. Well, Last night the temp went down to 6 degrees. I drove the car this morning and it did fine. I went out to move it a few hours ago and now stuck in neutral. I had a new clutch put in six months ago and topped off the gear oil and it’s oaky. From reading your posts you people seem on the ball. Any suggestions or solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Bobebgtime.

If you can get under the car move/wiggle the linkage by hand.

It sounds like the linkage need synchronizing.

Thank you,and you are right. I went under the car and freed the linkage and have since had it synchronized. It shifts perfect. Thanks again.
