Default Grinding gears.....

My 65 stang has a 250 inline 6 with a 3spd manual transmission. Lately, when I have been putting it into reverse, it has been grinding. I have the clutch pedal to the floor and it still does it. My stepdad said to "double clutch" it, pump the clutch pedal twice then put it into gear, and it didnt grind, except for when i was still slightly moving forward. Is it just my adjustment rod/thing?? Or is it something else? Any help would be great.

Default Adjustyment

Try to adjust it first. Everything to gain, nothing to lose. If that doesn't help, then persue other options.
