Default 9 inch rear for 66

What car uses 9 inch rear that will bolt up under my 66. I now have a Granada rear but it too is an 8 in. Also I have 2 centers(hog heads) one with 3.50 and another withe 3.70. The 3.50 I cant identify as a 9 in. ID tag WBS-AE2 3.50 3EE 111.Anyone able to id this part? First part of # may be W8S. Out of a 63 Galaxy with 3 speed manual trans. Any help is appreciated,Thanks

The 9 inch out of 55-57 full size cars (real close the that vintage anyway) is supposed to be the correct width and I believe bolt in. The 67-68 is 1 inch wider and I think the Versillias (disk's too) is 1/2 inch wider.
Hope it helps. Check it out though, I am pretty sure about thoes numbers but don't take it as gospel.

The rear end out of a 1959 full size Ford (1957 may be the same) is the same width as the 1965/66 Mustang. Overall and spring pad width is the same and the brakes bolt right up. The difference comes with the fact that the older housings axles tubes do not neck down on the ends like the Mustangs and the spring pads are narrower (the leaf spring on the 59 were not as wide). Just make sure that you get the U bolts and the part that the U bolts and the shock attaches to. I used this trick on my 1965 Falcon which has the same read end as the Mustang.

I am currently installing a 9 inch 79 Lincoln Versalli rear end in my 65 FB. It bolts right in with no modes with the exception of re-routing the brake lines a little. This is the best way to go in order to get a more heavey duty rearend as well as disc brakes. Also, the front spindles of the same car as well as Granadas work for the front and you get matching calipers. The tie rods have to be converted though.
