Default AC and alarm for 68 convertible

The AC does not blow cold. Would now be a good time to change to R-134a? If so, what componants do I need to change? Also, can anyone recommend a good system to deter anyone from reaching into the car? Thanks for your help.

I think you need to change alot of things.. compressor is the main thing... and there are several good alarm systems out there, that will go off even if you leave the top down..
will detect the motion of someone reaching in...just call around
