air conditioner operation
I inherited a '66 mustang 6 cyl. coupe with the air conditioner hanging down from the dash and I cannot locate any information on the operation of the air conditioner. I know that this may sound dumb, but I have no clue in terms of how to operate it. There is a series of three levers on the left, and 2 knobs on the blower with 1-5 on them. How do I a). turn it on and b.) interpret the #'s on the knobs, ie. 1=very cold, 2=less cold etc. I took it to a mechanic in town to see if it needed the freon recharged and he said that it "looked like it was holding a charge" and when I inquired about the operation of the air conditioner, his reply was "well, look it up in your oowners manual", if I had one, I would. I would appreciate any help. Thank you-JasonC (and please try not to laugh too hard)
