Default Anyone swaped a c4 for an fmx?

Anyone know what all needs to be changed. Is the c4 the same length with the same transmission mountiong points? What about large vs small bellhousing? My fmx is old and leaky and I think a nicely built c4 would be a much better replacement for the overweight lug in there now.

It's in a 72 mustang wth a 351C. Don't really care where the c4 is sourced from. I am not particularly hard on it and it isn't giving me fits, I am just tired of it leaking from worn out shafts and bushings (not the seals, done that, shaft wobbles in housing) I figure if I am going to have to have a rebuild/replacment I would rather get rid of the weight of the fmx than rebuild it. Plus, there are more parts available for the c4.

There's nothing wrong with the FMX tranny. It's basically a C6, but with a castiron bellhousing instead of an aluminum one. You're right, very tought. But also very heavy. I also beat the crap out of my FMX and havn't had a single problem yet!
